US bounce back in foursomes

The US have rallied against Europe in the foursomes in the afternoon play at the Ryder Cup following Europe's great morning.

Leading 3.5 to 0.5 after the fourballs, the Europeans started the foursomes well also. Jimenez and Levet birdied the second against 50-year-old Jay Haas and Chris DiMarco, while Harrington holed a 10-footer at the first against Love and Fred Funk.

Mickelson then had to make an eight-footer to save a half against Clarke and Westwood.

But the US rallied, and Jiminez and Levet now trail Haas and DiMarco thru 5, while Mickelson and Woods are one up against Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood.

Kenny Perry and Stewart Cink are all square against Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia thru 1.
