Both Europe and US got off to a nervy start as the Ryder Cup got underway at Oakland Hills today.

All four players - Padraig Harrington and Colin Montgomerie for Europe, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson for the US - missed the fairway with their drives off the first tea.
