Senior partner for Woods
Tiger Woods finds himself playing tomorrow in a world championship with a golfer whose last tournament was five months ago.
The world number one partners world number 212 Peter Senior, who qualified for the £3.7m (€5.5m) NEC Invitational by capturing the Australian PGA championship last December.
“I’m trying to get the rust off,” said the 45-year-old, who when asked what he has been doing replied: “Nothing. Watching the kids grow up.”
Senior, however, has also earned a place in the American Express world championship at Mount Juliet in Ireland in October and will stay on for the dunhill links championship in Scotland the following week.
