Defending champion Ernie Els made the move everybody was expecting of him in the Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond today.

Five behind France’s Gregory Havret at the halfway stage of the £2.2m (€3.2m) event – also the final tune-up for next week’s Open at Royal Troon – Els raced to the turn in his third round in a four under par 32.
