Phil Mickelson may have beaten Ernie Els to the Masters title in April, but it is the South African who is favourite for this week’s Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond.

Els is going for his third victory in the event, having lifted the trophy in 2000 and again last year, when he finished five clear of Darren Clarke and Phillip Price.
