The Irish boys and youths teams to represent Ireland in the European Team Golf Championships in Finland have been named.

The Irish boys and youths teams to represent Ireland in the European Team Golf Championships in Finland have been named.

The boys will play at Kymen Golf Club in Finland from July 6 to July 10 while the youths will play at The Island Golf Club in Dublin on the same days.

The boys team is: David Daly (Muskerry), Karl Gilbert (Malone), Nicky Grant (Clandeboye), Rory McIlroy (Holywood), Cian McNamara (Limerick) and Aaron O’Callaghan (Douglas).

The non-travelling reserve is Seamus Power (West Waterford) and the non-playing captain is Ciaran Burke.

Meanwhile the youths team is: Clancy Bowe (Tramore), Stephen Crowe (Dunmurry), Harry Diamond (Holywood), Paul O’Hanlon (Curragh), Cathal O’Malley (Westport) and Niall Turner (Muskerry).

The non-travelling reserve is Ciaran McAleavey (Banbridge) and the non-playing team captain is Michael Burns.
