Duval's bubble bursts

After the dream start of an opening birdie, David Duval had back-to-back double bogeys today at the United States Open – his first tournament since last November.

Duval, world number one in 1999 and Open champion three years ago, had turned his back on the game after coming to the conclusion that he was happier without it.
