Parnevik Ryder Cup blow for Langer

What Ryder Cup captain Bernhard Langer did not want is starting to happen, with Jesper Parnevik counting himself out of September’s defence of the trophy in Detroit.

Parnevik, a member of the last three sides, has become the first US Tour-based European to say he will not commit himself to 11 European Tour events this season and is therefore ineligible for Langer’s team – even as a wild card.
