Irish players tee off in US and Portugal

Ireland’s Padraig Harrington is among the field at the Bell South Classic, which tees off in the US state of Georgia later today.

The Dubliner will be hoping to continue the form that saw him finish second in the prestigious Players Championship in Florida last week.

Meanwhile, on the European Tour, Paul McGinley, Peter Lawrie and Graeme McDowell are among the Irish contingent for the Algarve Open, which gets underway in Portugal this morning.
