Record prize money of £2.5m (€3.76m) is not enough to tempt Padraig Harrington into returning to the Volvo PGA Championship at Wentworth in May.

Harrington, in the Middle East this week for a Dubai Desert Classic featuring Tiger Woods and Ernie Els, has decided to miss the European tour’s flagship event for the second year running.
