Jimenez on the charge again
Miguel Angel Jimenez went to the turn in 31 for the second day running to lead the Johnnie Walker Classic by two with nine holes to play in Bangkok today.
The Spaniard resumed one behind Thomas Bjorn but charged from 13 under to 18 under, finishing the front half with four successive birdies – one of them a chip-in.
Colin Montgomerie, 94th after his opening 73, reached joint third only to take six at the long 14th. It left him joint sixth and six strokes adrift.
Into third went Indian Jyoti Randhawa, and fourth was Thai Boonchu Ruangkit. They were eight under and seven under for the day respectively.
