New international qualifying for British Open

Five international final qualifying competitions have been introduced for next year’s Open Championship at Royal Troon to make it easier for lower-ranked players overseas to enter the tournament.

Qualifiers in Cape Town, Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur will produce four places while events in Sunningdale and Maryland, USA, provide 12 apiece.
