Murphy tied for dunhill Links lead

Ireland’s Gary Murphy holds a share of the lead heading into the second round of the dunhill Links Championship today.

Murphy carded a six-under-par opening-round 66 at Carnoustie in Scotland yesterday to lead by one shot along with Scot Simon Yates and Dane Soren Hansen.

Peter Lawrie and Darren Clarke are both tied for fourth place on five under par, while Paul McGinley is on one under and defending champion Padraig Harrington is level par.
