The Golfing Union of Ireland selection to face the Metropolitan Golf Association of New York (MGA) team in the biennial match for the Governor Carey Trophy at Quaker Ridge, New York on October 7 has been announced.

The Golfing Union of Ireland selection to face the Metropolitan Golf Association of New York (MGA) team in the biennial match for the Governor Carey Trophy at Quaker Ridge, New York on October 7 and 8 is:

Clancy Bowe (Tramore), Mark Campbell (Stackstown), Darren Crowe (Dunmurry), John Foster (Ballyclare), Brian McElhinney (North West), Michael McGeady (City of Derry), Mark O'Sullivan (Galway), Niall Turner (Muskerry).

The team will travel to New York on October 1 and compete in an Am-Am tournament at Quaker Ridge, venue for the 1999 Walker Cup matches, while the international match for the Governor Carey Trophy will be played over two days of foursomes and singles match play.
