Langer still on course

Bernhard Langer demonstrated his determination not to let the Ryder Cup captaincy finish his career in the Scandinavian Masters today.

Langer was confirmed as the successor to Sam Torrance as European skipper last week after 10 appearances as a player, one short of Nick Faldo’s all-time record.
