Mark Roe resumes his European Tour career tomorrow riding on a wave of good wishes.

Denied the chance to win the Open championship simply because he forgot to exchange scorecards with Jesper Parnevik in Saturday’s third round, the 40-year-old from Sheffield returns to action in the Nissan Irish Open at Portmarnock.
