Colin Montgomerie today insisted he was one of the favourites to win The Open championship which starts tomorrow at Royal St George’s in England.

Colin Montgomerie today insisted he was one of the favourites to win The Open championship which starts tomorrow at Royal St George’s in England.

The former Europe number one has not won all season and is rated an 80-1 chance by the bookies after his putting disintegrated at the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond last week when he finished 53rd.
