Stars come out for Gary Kelly Golf Classic

A host of international stars of stage and sport are taking part in the Gary Kelly Golf Classic on Friday next, July 4.

A host of international stars of stage and sport are taking part in the Gary Kelly Golf Classic on Friday next, July 4.

This celebrity golf event, which is being held at the Co Louth Golf Club at Baltray, is in aid of the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre based in Drogheda.

The support centre provides counselling, support and information for persons diagnosed with cancer and those who care for them. It will serve the whole region and will be of major benefit to those affected throughout Louth and surrounding counties.

Among the big names in the sporting world taking part are Gary’s ex-Republic of Ireland team-mates Niall Quinn and Steve Staunton, along with Leeds stars Alan Smith, Michael Bridges and Paul Robinson.

GAA stars, Kilkenny’s DJ Carey and Tipperary’s Nicky English along with entertainers Ronnie Drew, Joe Dolan, Finbarr Furey and Johnny Logan will also be in attendance.
