England's Chris Gane celebrated his 29th birthday today by grabbing the first albatross of the European tour season.

The left-hander sank his 222-yard four-iron to the 524-yard seventh hole in the first round of the Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters at the Forest of Arden.
