Poulter sets the pace at Celtic Manor

England’s Ian Poulter, who arrived at Celtic Manor in his red Ferrari, shrugged off a bout of tonsilitis to make an equally fast start to the Wales Open today.

Poulter equalled the course record with a first-round 65 to move into a two-shot lead over the field, ending a run of poor form this season.
