Walton wins pro-am at Belmullet
Philip Walton made another appearance on the Irish Golf circuit over the weekend with telling effect.
In the Shell Enterprise Energy Carne pro-am at Belmullet, Walton strung together scores of 74 and 68 for a two-under-par total of 132 and a four shots lead over the field.
Walton trailed Brendan McGovern by three shots overnight with David Higgins and John Dignam joint second one stroke of the overall winner.
However, Walton turned in a par-busting performance yesterday to walk away with the honours and shoot ahead of the pack.
