Londoner Gary Clark has his sights set on an immediate return to the European Tour despite having to carry his own clubs while suffering from a wrist injury.

Clark ignored that double distraction to card an error-free six-under-par 66 in the first round of the Italian Open at Gardagolf, two shots behind overnight leader Peter O’Malley.
