Seventeen-year-old amateur Pablo Martin moved into the outright lead at the start of the final round of the Canaries Spanish Open today – then crashed to a triple bogey seven.

The Malaga schoolboy, bidding to become the first amateur winner on the European tour and the youngest-ever champion, was the only one of the six overnight leaders to birdie the 539-yard first in the windy conditions at Costa Adeje in Tenerife.
