Happy Harrington climbs world rankings

Padraig Harrington today became the leading European on the world rankings for the first time in his life.

But instead of sitting back and celebrating that achievement, Harrington will this week put the finishing touches to a build-up which he hopes will make him Europe’s first winner of a major championship since Paul Lawrie at the 1999 Open.
