Torrential rain forced the suspension of play at the Heineken Classic in Melbourne for an hour-and-a-half after the greens became waterlogged.

Tour operations manager Gus Seeback sounded the hooter to bring play to a halt at 1.33pm local time after the greens had been rendered unplayable.
