Overnight leader Amandeep Johl made a steady start to his second round of the Omega Hong Kong Open, following yesterday's six-under 63.

Starting from the 10th, he opened with six straight pars to lie three shots off the pace still being set on nine under.

That band at the top of the leaderboard now also included Taiwanese Wang Ter-chang, whose birdie two at the 15th took him to five under for the day.

Faldo, still only level par with eight holes of his second round left, was in danger of missing the cut. But Olazabal reached the turn in 32 to go to two under.
