Russia joins European Tour hosts

The European Tour will break new ground again next year when Russia becomes one of 23 countries to stage an event.

The BMW Russian Open will take place in Moscow from August 14-17, the same week as the USPGA championship.

The tournament has been part of the Challenge Tour since 1996 and will be a dual-ranking event between that circuit and the main tour.
