Clarke finishes fourth in Japan

Darren Clarke finished the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament in Japan in fourth place, after he faltered in the final round.

Clarke, who started the final round one stroke off the lead, struggled with his putting game and closed out with an even-par 71 -- tied for fourth with England's Justin Rose at 12-under 272.

Tiger Woods shot a 4-under 67 for his best round at the tournament, but finished six strokes behind winner Kaname Yokoo of Japan.

Yokoo, who played on the PGA Tour this season, had five birdies against three bogeys for a 69 and a 72-hole total of 15-under 269. It was his first win since the 2000 Japan PGA Matchplay Championships.

"It's a great relief," Yokoo said. "I didn't play that well near the end, but fortunately had a bit of a cushion."

Spain's Sergio Garcia finished one stroke behind at 14-under 270, while South Korea's K.J. Choi was third at 13-under.

Defending champion David Duval shot a 68 to finish at 11-under, along with Japan's Hiroyuki Fujita.
