Woosnam masters the elements

Ian Woosnam stormed into contention for his 30th European Tour title as the overnight leaders were blown off course in the Lancome Trophy.

Woosnam – who defends his World Matchplay title at Wentworth next week - defied gusting winds to card a superb third-round 65 at St Nom La Breteche, and then sat back to watch the later starters fail to match his mastery of the elements.
