Padraig Harrington won the Dunhill links championship at St Andrews today - and prevented Argentina’s Eduardo Romero becoming the oldest winner in European tour history.

Padraig Harrington won the Dunhill links championship at St Andrews today - and prevented Argentina’s Eduardo Romero becoming the oldest winner in European tour history.

Harrington, a member of Europe’s triumphant Ryder Cup team last Sunday, beat Romero at the second hole of their sudden-death play-off after they had tied on the 19-under-par mark of 269.
