Verplank beats Westwood

Scott Verplank beat Lee Westwood 2 and 1 in the final day of the Ryder Cup at The Belfry.

Verplank was three up after three. He birdied the first, Westwood bogeyed the second and on the 538-yard next the American wild card hit a spectacular second to three feet and eagled.
