Torrance pays emotional tribute

Sam Torrance was almost in tears on the eve of the Ryder Cup today – at the mere mention of his ‘Tartan Army’ of family and friends.

“It means everything to me. I just got real sentimental, so we’ll leave that,” said Torrance, his voice trailing off, when asked about what the support meant to him.
