Karlsson stutters in final round
Swede Robert Karlsson was one ahead of Scotland’s Paul Lawrie with nine holes left in the Omega European Masters in Switzerland today.
Two in front at the start of the final round, Karlsson had three bogeys in a row from the second and was overtaken by England’s Barry Lane.
But the 1993 winner then bogeyed the ninth and 10th, while Karlsson almost holed-in-one at the 176-yard eighth.
Lawrie’s birdie on the 407-yard 10th lifted him into second place as he chased his second victory in five weeks.
