James set to qualify for Open
Mark James looks set to qualify for The Open at Muirfield. He has missed just one Open championship in 27 years as a professional.
James needs to finish in the top six at a qualifying tournament in Dunbar, and leads after adding a 73 to his opening 65.
Peter Baker also looks likely to qualify as one of the seven qualifiers from Luffness New. He leads after adding a 68 to his opening 65.
Jarmo Sandelin is facing a long and anxious wait at the qualifying tournament in North Berwick.
The Swede could only card a one over par 72 for a total of 141, and with only six places available, could fail to qualify for the second year running.
