Sluman makes his move
Jeff Sluman fired a flawless eight-under-par 63 to claim a two-shot lead after three rounds of the Greater Milwaukee Open.
The 41-year-old American, whose five PGA Tour victories include the 1998 running of this event, secured four birdies on the front nine and four more after the turn as he took his score to 20 under.
Steve Lowery moved up to second thanks to a 64 while Kirk Triplett, co-leader at halfway alongside Sluman and Tommy Armour, is another two shots back in third after a 67.
Greg Chalmers and Tim Herron both enjoyed 65s to move up to 15 under and 14 under respectively.
J P Hayes matched Sluman for the lowest round of the day and his 63 moved him up to a share of sixth on 13 under alongside David Peoples, who carded a second successive 67.
Armour is back on 12 under after struggling to a level-par 71 on day three.
