Lee Westwood was back to top form in the first round of the Murphy's Irish Open at Fota Island.

He carded a four-under-par 67 to lie just a shot off the lead held by Fred Funk, Eduardo Romero, Nick Dougherty, Joakim Haeggman and Peter O'Malley.
