Ireland's Gary Murphy is lying in third place in the Great North Open De Vere Slaley Hall.

Murphy is five under par after nine holes of his third round today.

Miles Tunnicliff is currently leading the tournament, eight under after 11 holes. Sven Struver of Germany is in second place, six under after five holes.
