Joint favourite Darren Clarke has taken a two-shot lead over Ian Poulter and Jarrod Moseley at the Compass English Open.

The Northern Irishman's is on seven under par - his seventh birdie came on the 466-yard sixth - and the 1999 and 2000 winner led by two with three to play.
