Monty and Woods begin play-off

Scotland's Colin Montgomerie and world number one Tiger Woods have finished their final rounds on 20 under par and now have begun a play-off for the Deutsche Bank Open title.

Woods had a 14-foot chance to win on the first hole of the play-off and thought he had it, but the ball lipped out and on they went after Montgomerie had made his four-foot second putt.

Both the two leaders missed the green at the last of the round today - Montgomerie hitting the giant leaderboard to the right.

Woods then chipped eight feet past and when Montgomerie put his to two feet he was favourite.

Woods holed, however, and they went into a sudden death play-off.
