Goosen wins Asprey award

Retief Goosen has won the Asprey Golfer of the Month Award for April.

Goosen, winner of the Volvo Order of Merit and the US Open Championship in 2001, captured the BellSouth Classic in Atlanta the week before finishing second to Tiger Woods in the US Masters.

The 33-year-old South African earns a €1,600 donation to The Golf Foundation.

Other winners of the Award this season have been Justin Rose (January), Jose Maria Olazabal (February) and Ernie Els (March).
