Golf: Brilliant Clarke moves into lead

A brilliant second round 65 containing eight birdies lifted Darren Clarke into the clubhouse lead halfway through the second round of the Shell Houston Open at The Woodlands today.

Joint 16th after his opening 69, Clarke gave his build-up to the Masters in a fortnight a timely boost by moving into a two-stroke advantage over Australian Geoff Ogilvy.
