Golf: Gallacher wins his first European Tour

Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher moved into contention to match the achievements of close friend Alastair Forsyth and win his first European Tour event in the Qatar Masters.

Gallacher was just one shot off the lead midway through the second round at Doha Golf Club, adding a second-round 68 to an opening 69 which he completed this morning following a fog delay of almost two hours yesterday.
