Golf: Bjornstad moves top after course-record third round
Norway’s Henrik Bjornstad has stormed into the lead at the Omega Hong Kong Open after carding a course-record 61 in Fanling today.
Bjornstad knocked in five birdies and an eagle on the front nine and a further three birdies on the back nine for a 10-under-par third round that moved him to 17 under overall.
The Norwegian leads by one stroke from Australia’s Adam Scott, who carded a 66 to move to 16 under.
England’s Mark Foster and Spain’s Jose Maria Olazabal are tied for third place on 15 under, while Ireland’s Paul McGinley dropped three shots to move back to eight under.
