Madrid Open: Harrington sets pace at Club de Campo
Padraig Harrington’s fondness for the Club de Campo course was apparent again today when he opened his defence of the Telefonica Madrid Open title with a record-equalling 63.
The Dubliner, seven times a runner-up this season, also won the 1996 Spanish Open at the course and a brilliant run around the turn put him back in his familiar position at the top of the leaderboard.
