The Dunhill Links championship is all set now for a Monday finish after more bad weather hit the east coast of Scotland.

But in the few hours' play that was possible on the three courses - Carnoustie, St Andrews and Kingsbarns - Paul Lawrie took the opportunity on the Old Course to charge into a share of the lead with a spectacular eight birdies in 12 holes.

Lawrie moved alongside Ireland's Paul McGinley in the race for the £551,000 first prize.

The weather-interrupted third round looks to continue on Sunday with the final day's play taking place on Monday.
