Golf: Garcia to get Ryder Cup wild card

European Ryder Cup captain Sam Torrance has confirmed that Spain’s Sergio Garcia will get one of the wild-card positions on this year’s team.

Garcia is in the field for this weekend’s International Open in Munich, the final tournament in which Ryder Cup points can be earned.

Sweden’s Jesper Parnevik is the favourite to receive the second wild-card position for the Ryder Cup meeting with the USA at the Belfry next month.
