Tiger Woods sank a birdie putt to claim his third straight World Golf Championships-NEC Invitational title.

He ended his sudden death play-off against Jim Furyk with the shot after rain suspended the play-off after six holes.

Furyk's tee shot landed in the right rough and rolled under a tree. He chipped out from under the tree but was still 10 yards in the rough, with 180 yards to the pin.

Furyk's third shot from the rough landed on the right fringe, 80 feet short of the pin.

Woods' second shot was from 140 yards out. His ball landed inside of two feet.

Furyk's long par putt missed pin high by two feet. Furyk sank his bogey putt.

Woods' birdie putt secured him the title.
