Golf: Trio share honours in Tullamore pro-am
Slade Valley Club professional John Dignam joined Challenge Tour players
Damian Mooney and Damian McGrane at the top of the leaderboard after the
36-holes £14,000 pro-am tournament at Tullamore to force a three-way share
of the honours.
The trio finished at six-under-par 134 with Dignam carding a final round 68.
However, it was McGrane who was the fastest mover of the day as he leaped
from joint fourth position to joint first, closing with a 67. Mooney was
second starting the last 18 holes following his opening 65 but he took four
more strokes to cover the final 18 holes.
Overnight leader David Walker who shot a course record 64 in the first round
slid to a 72 yesterday and had to be content with sixth place.
