Golf: Walker wins Greenore pro-am
David Walker likes the Greenore course. Last year he won the PGA Challenge tournament there and yesterday, as a prelude to defending the £12,000 title, the Foxrock Club professional carded a three-under-par 68 to win the Greenore Challenge pro-am. Walker, playing the back nine first, turned in three-under-par 33 and returned in regulation 35.
The former PGA Irish Region chairman made it a personal double by also leading in the winning team.
