Welshman Ian Woosnam has moved into second place at the Smurfit European Open at the K-Club.

Welshman Ian Woosnam has moved into second place at the Smurfit European Open at the K-Club.

The former Irish Open champion is at eight under par after six birdies and one bogey on his opening nine.

Meanwhile, Darren Clarke is six under after 28, Philip Walton is on two over after 24, John Dwyer is six over after 30 and John Dignam is seven under after 21.
